The sixth room - pharmacy of the second half of the 20th century

New exposition of Czech Pharmaceutical Museum
Since 9th June 2001 CPM extended the recent exposition by this room.

The sixth room is dedicated to the pharmacy of the second half of the 20th century. There are samples of standardized laboratory tables with small desk carroussels with necessary vessels, modern balances, a machine for the filling of starch waffels (wafers) and a smelting lamp. A round-shaped dispensing unit equipped with most frequently used ready-made medicaments exemplifies the existence of the delivery section. Visitors can try here the role of a pharmacist. Furthermore, visitors also try to produce and then also taste a hand-made tablet produced by a device for the hand production of tablets that is located at the big laboratory table. We will also try to provide access to the production of pills in the next season. There are also two glass cases with samples of advertising for medicines and samples of historical redy-made medicaments (specialities) and material for dressing. Information materials about the museum, puzzles, series of picture postcards, replicas of historical drug jars and also some graphical sheets are available too.
